2012 USTA Fall League III

Hey Tennis Friends!

Javier and I got some extra practice between matches by playing in a local USTA sanctioned tournament. Hopefully, we can bring what we learned form that match, to this one.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: My USTA League reports are time delayed in favor of the daily and/or more timely reports promoting other events. This match actually took place during the first week of October.

CORRECTION:
I misspoke in the video. The score on the screen was correct for the second set. We won that set, 6-2, not 6-4, as I mistakenly stated.

For this USTA Fall League season, each team must field three doubles matches.

Our first set lasted 24 minutes.
Our second set lasted 27 minutes.
Our third set lasted 50 minutes.

Just to recap our chances to win this match in the third set:
Javier had two match points on his serve at 5-2,
I had three match points on my serve at 5-4.

My results, so far, for this season are:

Local District/Area 4.0 Doubles
0-wins, 3-losses

  1. John says:

    Marcus,

I always enjoy watching your league double matches.
Javier looks like a good doubles partner to have, he has a good consistent serve, pretty good return and most of all a good attitude!

  2. Just remember John, these are the highlights!
If we played that way consistently, . . . we would have won 🙂
