2009 BNP Paribas Open VI

March 15th, 2009

Hey Tennis Friends!

I told you that night tennis sometimes goes long . . .

Tonights last match on Stadium 2 did not finish until 12:55AM!

Fernando Gonzalez won with a final score of 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

2009 BNP Paribas Open V

March 13th, 2009

Hey Tennis Friends!

The reason that the audience was amused when I mentioned Marion Bartoli’s doubles partner being Shahar Peer, is because that is who she was playing against in this particular match.

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

2009 BNP Paribas Open IV

March 12th, 2009

Hey Tennis Friends!

Okay, okay, so I’m not so good at the International Flag Game™. Please don’t send me angry email that I missed your country’s flag.

I really do play the game when I have a guest with me, and I usually do better than they do. I didn’t “study”, and this was a particularly difficult side of the stadium.

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

2009 BNP Paribas Open III

March 11th, 2009

Hey Tennis Friends!

I misspoke in the video. In China, it is customary to say the person’s last name first, therefore, in China she would be Li Na, and in the United States she would be Na Li. I reversed it in the video. At this tournament, we announcers use the Chinese version to introduce the players (from China only, of course . . . )

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

Obviously our GroundsPass.net family has grown because of the presence at the 2009 BNP Paribas Open. Be sure to invite your other Tennis Friends to subscribe as well! It’s FREE, and it actually burns a few calories, too! (Not like chasing down a lob, though . . .)
