Hey Tennis Friends!
It’s back to my “time shifted” coverage of my favorite USTA League play: The mixed doubles season! For this match, my partner, Kelly, could not make it. Since we are playing as a team, we were both taken off of the schedule for this particular date. Unfortunately, another member of our team got injured in the warm-up, so, I was called in, at the last minute, to fill in for this evening match . . .
Our first set lasted 34 minutes.
Our second set lasted 21 minutes.
USTA League rules in “Friend at Court” state that if one player or team is more than 15 minutes late: the penalty is a default”
Fortunately, I was able to rush down to the courts and make it to the match on time!
My results for this season, so far, are:
Local District/Area 4.0 Doubles
1-win, 1-loss
