Hey Tennis Friends!
With eight courts of tennis action, I can hardly scratch the surface of all of the activities at this event. However, I did get a very rare interview from a player who usually does not do interviews . . .
Remember, USTA Member Appreciation Day is Thursday!
Today’s web-only exclusive is an excerpt from the transcript of the Q&A
with Serena Williams at today’s post-match press conference:
QUESTION: I heard a fan during this match say that your legs look skinny.
SERENA WILLIAMS: “Um, I’ve never used me and skinny in the same sentence. (Smiling.) Maybe me and thick, or, me and, like, curvy or sexy, but not necessarily skinny,…”
The final scores for the matches I featured are:
Liezel Huber / Lisa Raymond
d. Monica Niculescu / Shahar Peer 6-1, 6-3
Marion Bartoli d. Alona Bondarenko 6-1, 6-2
Nikolay Davydenko d. Sergiy Stakovsky 6-2, 7-6(5)

What can be done to get ESPN to broadcast more tennis? Seems like everything is on the Tennis channel so I don’t see much tennis anymore. I really like Marion, so I’m glad you got to do the interview with her. Smiles!!!!
Thanks for the email Dorothy!
As far as I know, it’s all about the contracts for each tournament. You might want to send an email to ESPN, but, even “I” have found it is difficult to find the proper person to send it to . . .
Of course, . . . you could always get the Tennis Channel 🙂
GREAT interviews, Marcus!! You have done all your homework and ask GREAT questions!! You must have a great technique in getting the interviews. WHEN are you turning pro? 🙂
Thanks Linda! Be sure to share with your Tennis Friends!
