2011 USTA Mixed League IV

Hey Tennis Friends!

Welcome to all of the Tennis Friends who met me, or, found this site during the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am playing on two 8.0 (combined) teams for the USTA Mixed Doubles season.

This time, playing in my local district, I got paired up with the wife of one of my former men’s doubles partner.

It is always great to play with/against so many Tennis Friends, and even more so when some of them are “tennis families”.
This match, I played with Chauha.
In the past, I have played USTA League with her husband, Tuan, and, I have lost, in doubles, while playing against their daughter, Autumn.
Great fun!

My results, so far, for this season are:

Local District/Area 8.0 Mixed Doubles
1-1

Adjacent District/Area 8.0 Mixed Doubles
1-1

If you enjoyed my reports from the BNP Paribas Open, be sure to let the tournament know, so that they will allow me even more access in the future. Send them an email at:

Be sure to share GroundsPass.net with your other Tennis Friends, and I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

Man the San Bernardino valley is gorgeous this time of year. In winter/spring, it can be so very nice in that part of SoCal.

Wow…that looks like a very nice venue Mark! And how come you never come to our matches when our team play! lol … We must not be camera worthy! Chauha is a good player…great win Mark! See Ya in the upcoming season.

You have, what looks like to me, a classic form in your serve: high, straight toss and raquet back between shoulder blades.

I met up with a tennis player at RCC a few days ago. Gave him your business card and promoted your site. Turns out he coaches kids 8 – 12 or something like that. So hopefully he’ll promote groundspass.net, too.

  4. Thanks for sharing with your other Tennis Friends!

  5. I have no influence on the captain’s choices. I just go with the flow. If it were up to me, I’d play every match!

  6. It’s a beautiful place for great year-round weather to play tennis in!
