Hey Tennis Friends!
Yes, that’s correct, it’s Spring League in summer. Occasionally my weekly videos get bumped in favor of the current pro tour events. Therefore, these reports are delayed, or “time shifted” for convenience.
A special welcome to all of the new Tennis Friends that have found, and joined, GroundsPass.net from meeting me at the Cincy Tournaments!
Since my regular partner, Jaime, was on vacation for this match, I was once again scheduled to play singles for my team.
As you could see in the video, we had some great, long points. Unfortunately for me, my opponent got the better end of the majority of them. He was a very solid, consistent player, and a fine gentleman, as well.
After our match, he congratulated me on a good, tough game and mentioned that the unbalanced score did not reflect how close the points were. It’s tough to lose without even winning one game, but, I sure came close so many times!
I have to keep reminding myself that this is my first season playing 4.0 singles, and that I did not do too well through my first season back when I was bumped up to playing 3.5 singles.
My results for this season, so far, are:
Local District/Area 4.0 Singles
1-2
Local District/Area 4.0 Doubles
0-2
I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!
