Sam Querrey d. Ryan Sweeting 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-3
Sam was down 0-5 in the second set, and later said that Ryan had let him in, more than he had picked it up himself.
Mardy Fish d. Chris Guccione 6-7(3), 7-6(14), 6-4
Mardy saved three match points in the second set tiebreak, thanks to someone in the crowd who started a “Mar-dy, *clap, clap*” chant at 6-6, to get the crowd behind him and give him a boost.
