2011 USTA Mixed League

January 29th, 2011

Hey Tennis Friends!

It’s the start of the USTA Mixed Doubles season!

This time I will be playing on two 8.0 (combined) teams. One of the teams is in my local district/area, and the other one is in an adjacent district/area. I can’t say enough about how much fun it is to play on different teams and meet new Tennis Friends along the way!

My results, so far, for this season are:

Local District/Area 8.0 Mixed Doubles
0-0

Adjacent District/Area 8.0 Mixed Doubles
1-0

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

2011 January Prize Giveaway Drawing

January 16th, 2011

Hey Tennis Friends!

It’s time for the drawing!

Congratulations to the winners!

Since I do most of my promoting on the courts in Southern California, that is where the greatest percentage of subscribers and, therefore, winners are from.
However, as you heard, there were winners from east of the Rockies, as well.
I even have a number of Tennis Friend subscribers from outside the United States!

Stay tuned for my fourth year here on GroundsPass.net, and many more reports and contests.

Be sure to share GroundsPass.net with your other Tennis Friends, and
I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

2011 January Prize Giveaway

January 10th, 2011

Hey Tennis Friends!

It’s time to start the new year here at GroundsPass.net
with the BIGGEST PRIZE GIVEAWAY EVER!

I have amassed bag-loads of tennis souvenirs and memorabilia from my past reports. Since I pick up most of these prizes on the final day of the events, and I am usually on the road soon afterward, logistically it didn’t make sense to hold a contest until I had a lot of stuff to give away.

As I celebrate my third year, and begin my fourth year of hosting GroundsPass.net, I wanted to thank you for subscribing, and give you a chance to reap even more rewards of being a subscriber!

Contest Rules & Regulations:
This contest is only open to GroundsPass.net subscribers.
To SUBSCRIBE for FREE to GroundsPass.net, be sure to enter your email into the “Subscribe Here” box on the upper right portion of this page.
Simply send an email, from the email account that you use to subscribe to GroundsPass.net, with your name, and your city/state/country, to be used for promotional purposes, if you win.
The deadline for email response entries will be midnight PST, January 15th, 2011.
Everyone who responds, and is a GroundsPass.net subscriber, will be entered for a drawing that will be conducted this Sunday, January 16th, 2011.
In addition to announcing the winners in the next posted video, winners will be notified via email.
International entries are always welcome!

You email information will not be given out or sold to any other parties.

Happy New Year!
Be sure to share GroundsPass.net with your other Tennis Friends, and
I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

2010 USTA Fall League III

December 5th, 2010

Hey Tennis Friends!

Yes, sometimes it actually does rain in Southern California!

Such was the case the week before this week’s USTA match. As a result, my partner, John, and I did not get to play together at all. However, we have played together a few times a week for years, so . . . we should be in sync . . .

My results, so far, for this season are:

Local District/Area 4.0 Doubles
0-3

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

2010 Elena Dementieva Interview

November 7th, 2010

Hey Tennis Friends!

I was not able to make it to the WTA Championships in Doha, however, I have a little something extra that is directly related to events there:

Last year Elena reached her career high ranking of #3!

This year, even with the handicap of being out with a calf injury for a few weeks, she made it to an impressive two quarterfinals, two semifinals, two finals, and won titles in both Sydney and Paris!

“It’s so emotional. It’s hard to say goodbye. I’m going to miss you so much.”
– Elena Dementieva

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!
