Hey Tennis Friends!
The World Team Tennis regular season is winding down and there are only two more regular season home matches left for my local team, the Orange Country Breakers.
In this featured match from earlier in their brief season, the Breakers take on Andy Roddick and the Springfield Lasers. Because of my emcee duties (which I announced last month), I am unable to get more comprehensive coverage, however, I am still able to get some highlights to entice you to come on down to see professional tennis LIVE!
Billie Jean King was also present at this match. Because Andy Roddick has recently become a partner in the World Team Tennis organization he was offering suggestion for changing the rules during his warm up session. One of the changes that he was semi-jokingly suggesting is that teams would receive two points if they actually hit their opponent with the tennis ball during play. Billie Jean was no too keen on that idea 🙂
The last two matches of the regular season are this Sunday, July 21st at 5:00pm against Sam Querrey and the Sacramento Capitals, and this coming Wednesday, July 24th at 7:00pm when the Breakers will take on the Springfield Lasers!
