Hey Tennis Friends!
The field is narrowing . . .
The final scores for the matches I mentioned are:
Agnieszka Radwanska d. Anna Chakvetadze 6-3, 6-2
I did cheer on Anna during her match, but it wasn’t enough. She seemed to be frustrated with her playing most of the time.
Flavia Pennetta d. Nadia Petrova 6-3, 6-3
Jie Zheng d. Dinara Safina 7-5, 4-6, 6-4
What a great match this was! Very close throughout, and quite the upset for the draw. Jie Zheng has lost to the number one, Safina, four times before.
She said it was, ” . . . amazing for me because I’ve never beat Safina before . . . every point I used 100% for moving.”
I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

Hey Mark. I was there yesterday all day. I saw you but you were too far away to say hi. You were sitting with some blond women. I got 2 free tickets for giving blood last week at the KLOS blood drive. That was the first time I ever saw Sharipova and Safina play. Jie Zheng did an amazing job. I was really impressed. We had awesome seats. Hey! I even got a cute tennis shirt for only $10 and a Dunlap visor for $9.95. What a deal! Have fun at the finals. I’m definitely going next year too. See you on the court. Rox
