Hey Tennis Friends!

I know that I have mentioned this before, but for all of the new Tennis Friends, I feel I need to explain that sometimes the placement of my MacBook to record the game play video is not always at the best angle. Not only is it difficult to place it out of the way of the action, but it is also a problem seeing the screen in the bright sunlight, and lining up the shot correctly.

Originally I wasn’t scheduled for this, the final match of our season. Our captain called me a couple of days before, and asked if Jaime and I could fill in because of other player’s injuries. Unfortunately, my regular partner, Jaime, already had plans.

Two good things, however, . . . I got to play for my team again, and I got to partner up with Will, who I had played with before on the Tri-Level team earlier this year.

Losing is never fun, but it was a close, competitive match. Given more notice, perhaps Will and I would have been able to schedule some practice time together, and coordinate our team colors. I’m chalking this loss up to the lack of matching outfits . . . 🙂

Our team finished the season 5-3 which put us right in the middle slot out of 9 teams in our area. Had we won our match, we would’ve ended our season in third place, instead of fifth.

It was great to join a different team in my area, and meet a lot of new Tennis Friends. I cannot encourage you enough to get out there, get more active, and meet more people!

I’ll see you next time, with more tennis, . . . outside the lines!

– Marcus Tennis
