Hey Tennis Friends!
It’s day three of my coverage from the Texas Tennis Open. Yes, it’s hot, but, so is the action! Just bring plenty of water and a sports drink and y’all will be fine . . .
According to my sources at the Official WTA Tour,
Kateryna had indeed played, and lost, to Dominika Cibulkova twice:
2008 Stanford 6-2, 6-3
2010 US Open 6-2, 5-7, 7-6(7)
The four women’s singles players that are the #1 players in their countries are:
Sofia Arvidsson – Sweden
Kateryna Bondarenko – Ukraine
Dominika Cibulkova – Slovakia
Anastasija Sevastova – Latvia
The final scores for the matches I featured are:
Anastatsija Sevastova d. Sofia Arvidsson 7-6(4), 6-4
Kateryna Bondarenko d. Dominika Cibulkova 6-3, 6-1
Alberta Brianti / Sorana Cirstea
d. Andreja Klepac / Tatiana Poutchek 7-6(2), 6-7(0), [12-10]
