2011 Texas Tennis Open V

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

Hey Tennis Friends!

It’s semifinal day at the Texas Tennis Open!
There’s a lot at stake for each one of these players, . . . some more personal than others.

CORRECTION: There were a lot of late nights editing these videos, so, in this one, I misspelled Pauline Parmentier’s name on the graphics. Hey, it looked good at 2AM 🙂

Away from the camera, Aravane had mentioned that it would be a difficult final because she is friends with Sabine. She indicated that you want your friend to do well, but, then again, you also want to win. Jokingly, she said that they would be battling to the death!

The final scores for the matches I featured are:

Sabine Lisicki d. Irina-Camelia Begu 6-0, 6-1

Aravane Rezai d. Angelique Kerber 6-2, 3-6, 7-5

Alize Cornet / Pauline Parmentier
d. Irina-Camelia Begu / Ipek Senoglu 6-3, 6-3
